THE DANCE FLOOR
As the temperature rises, the clothes get skimpier....
What does this mean?
Please be aware that your perspiration, body lotion/oils, and perfumes leave a residue on the floor that can cause slick spots (and we have all hit them at one point or another!). So as the weather heats up and you are baring those beautiful arms and legs, bring a towel to dry yourself off and to lie on when you are on the dance floor. Thank you for your consideration.

One of THE great pairings for a ballet class!
Kristine Elliott, former dancer with American Ballet Theatre and the Stuttgart Ballet, is an inspiring and knowledgable instructor. In addition to teaching at Zohar, Ms. Elliott also teaches at Stanford University and is a coach and mentor for aspiring dancers. David Stein is a truly amazing accompanist. His music captures and personifies movement. Dancing to David’s music is truly a moving experience.
JAZZ DANCERS! This is an excellent class to supplement your jazz classes. Ehud and Daynee highly recommend taking advantage of these classes taught by Kristine, who normally only teaches in the morning! You will build strength, expand your dance vocabulary, and be treated to the accompaniment of David Stein.

Musical Theatre Dance Repertoire
with Lee Ann Payne (the Tap Teacha!)
Wednesdays 8:00pm-10:00pm
July 8, 15, 22 and 29
Cost - $64 for all 4 classes, $20 drop-in
This is a fun class for ALL LEVELS. Classes will include a full warm-up with exercises to prepare you for the specific style of choreography that will be taught. Learn the opening dance from “A Chorus Line”, “Pajama Game”, “Thoroughly Modern Millie”, and “Thriller” (ok, not musical theater, but an all time great group dance to learn!). Be prepared to kick it!
Lee Ann is a professional actor /performer who has taught and choreographed theatre and dance across the country. Lee Ann also teaches Tap on Mondays at Zohar and teaches a Musical Theater Workshop.

Never too late to start!

If you have tap shoes, pull them out and dust them off and be sure your screws are secure (hahaha)
If you don't have tap shoes - you can do the 1st couple classes with a hard-sole shoes (like character shoes) to begin with....but warning! Once you get started tapping those toes, you're going to want to go and get a pair so that your neighbor downstairs can enjoy the tap class as well!
